Every year, the cultural event ”Swedish Genealogy Days” is arranged somewhere in the country. The Genealogy Days provide inspiration för everyone with an interest in genealogy, folklore and local history. The event takes place over 2-3 days, with around 5.000 visitors with an interest in genealogy, folklore and history research. The visitors come from all over Sweden, other Nordic countries, and often from the US.
In 2016, the Swedish Genealogy Days will be held at Nolia in Umeå August 20-21. It is arranged by Södra Västerbottens Släktforskare, supported by Sveriges Släktforskarförbund and in association with Nolia AB and the main sponsor ArkivDigital.
